Before Chip came to Dogs for Our Brave in August 2022, he was sadly a stray that had been picked up by Jefferson County Animal Control. Like many stray rescue dogs, not too much information is available on what Chip’s life was like before he was picked up by Animal Control. But that could not affect his happy personality. As soon as the team met this smart and adorable Chocolate Lab, they knew he would make a wonderful addition to the DFOB “pack”. His chocolatey sweet attitude made him the perfect dog to join the other rescue dogs at DFOB. Chip is currently channeling all of his labrador energy and excitement of being rescued into learning all the new skills it takes to become a service dog so that he can share his talents and love with a veteran in the near future.
