Dr. Jerry Argovitz

Super Agent, Maverick, Reformer, Iconoclast, Deal Maker, Author, Businessman, and Dentist. At the National Football League Negotiating Table and within the pages of football history, “Doc” (as he is called by all of his players) has earned many titles. He walked on and played quarterback at the University of Texas,
became a sports agent, owned the Houston Gamblers in the United States Football League and became partners with Donald J. Trump, who owned the New Jersey Generals. In his hey-day, Argovitz had a reputation of being one of the most powerful men in professional sports. He increased salaries 300%, got career-ending injury insurance from Lloyds of London for the players, and changed the rules of the National Football League and the National Collegiate Athletic Association. As a Player-Agent, Doc represented and advised some of the biggest names in the game of football. He was known for challenging the NFL at every turn to protect his clients.

Today, Doc and his wife Loni endowed JASI (Jerry Argovitz Sports Institute) in Rancho Mirage, California. This program teaches high school athletes how to become successful in life through participation in sports. “Winning is not everything—but preparing yourself to win, is!
